Wingspan: How long have you been in basketball  and what inspired you to start it?

Thompson: “ I started playing basketball when I was 8 years old. And honestly i just got bored one day and told my mom i wanted to try it out.”

Wingspan: What fuels your passion to continue to pursue basketball?

Thompson: “Just being around my teammates and coaches everyday is motivating enough. But now I just think everyday that i’m playing for my dad I know he would be proud of me and how far I have made it today. ”

Wingspan: What do you enjoy most about the sport?

Thompson: “I love playing in the games and just practicing with my teammates and friends. Being good at the sports helps because it’s not fun to do something you aren’t good at.”

Wingspan: What is the most challenging thing about the sport?

Thompson: “ The hardest thing I’ve experiences was just recovering from my 2 injuries and some other personal obstacles. It’s also always hard to wake up early 6 days a week and start working out immediately.”

Wingspan: What is something that you want to improve on?

Thompson: “I do want to improve on my personal game. I would love to be a better team leader and I do believe I’m getting better at that every day.”

Wingspan: What do you do to prepare for games? What hypes you up?

Thompson: “Me and my teammates always just listen to music super loud in the locker room before the game and just talk. Personally I just get my mind right in warmups and get myself ready to play hard and do whatever it takes to win.”
