  • For senior Zion Richardson, the last game of his high school career was a memorable one with him scoring a career high of 40 points in the game.

Five seniors said their final goodbyes to the home crowd energy Tuesday night against Heritage in the last District 9-5A game of the season, a 80-58 win over the Coyotes, the team’s 11th straight.

“I feel good about it,” sophomore Myson Huff said. “The seniors have been working so hard and setting an example for the underclassmen and set the standard for Liberty basketball. It’s good that they were honored because the program wouldn’t be the same or have made it this far without them.”

Lone Star’s loss to Frisco Tuesday allowed the team to to finish in a tie for first place with the Rangers, giving the Redhawks the title of District Champions.

For senior Zion Richardson, his final game at The Nest is likely one he will remember for a long time as he scored a career high 40 points.
