Coffee, desserts, and music are all part of choir’s annual Coffeehouse at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria on Thursday.

“Coffeehouse is our spring type of solo performance to showcase a lot of talent from people who may want to perform individually,” choir director Toni Ugolini said. “ We’ve got a lot of singers, in the past there have been instrumental acts, just a chance for us to do some lighter music that we don’t have to do in our heavy UIL concerts. Have fun as a group and have some coffee.”

Students were able to sign up to perform for family and friends.

“I am very excited about it, but I’m also kind of nervous,” freshman Nadia Dent said. “I have a solo, so I’ve been practicing every morning and when I get home from school.”

The atmosphere of the Coffeehouse is causal compared to the Winter Concert and UIL performances.

“I think it is nice because having a more causal setting helps us get closer as a choir,” junior Victoria Samuel said. “Also to have more choir spirit. I think everybody should go to this if you like coffee and good music, it is pretty great.”
