13 DECA students advanced to the international conference in April after advancing out of the Texas State Career Development Conference that took place in Dallas Thursday-Saturday.

“I think it provides an opportunity for us to show what we learned throughout the year and to have fun and spend time together as a chapter,” senior, DECA Vice President, Saahithi Joopelli said.

Students who advanced get the opportunity to compete against students from around the world.

The thing I am looking forward to is most definitely the actual competition. It’s the reason I do DECA and to be able to do that against the best competitors in the in the world is why I wake up in the morning.”
