Band members spent the weekend taking their annual spring trip, leaving Friday for the Galveston area and returning to campus Sunday.

The trip start with a performance at Texas City High School near Houston.

“We had a small performance at Texas City High School and we just played together,” senior Ryan Carr said. “It was really cool to, play with everybody  that I don’t get to play with normally, and just play different music that I’m not used to playing.”

The long weekend was a bonding and learning experience all in one.

“Spring trip was a really great way for the 84 students to come together and enjoy some time with one another,” associate band director Zachary Anderson said. “We had a great performance at Texas City High School and got to enjoy the rest of the weekend, hanging out at the beach, going to Schlitterbahn and learning lots about space at NASA.”
