Taking on the Coppell Cowboys, the Redhawks secured their win 3-1 on Friday, Aug. 26. Not looking promising after losing the first set, the Redhawks came back in the next 3 sets.

After three days of tournament play, volleyball finished second in the Bronze bracket at the Northwest ISD tournament at Byron Nelson.

“I think it was good for our team to see how well we work together,” junior Sue Slater said. “We can see what we need to change for future games too.”

The teams overall record was 6-3 as they claimed wins against Belton, Plano, Red Oak, Reedy, and Boswell.

“I think that the team played very well,” senior Emily Nickel said. “I think we learned that our team has a lot of potential and we work really well together.”
