Preparing for their first District 9-5A match on Friday, the Redhawk volleyball team travels to Grapevine High School on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to take on the Mustangs.

“We play Grapevine tonight and our game plan is to shut down a couple of their studs,” junior Damiana Bova-Ford said. “Specially their right side, Savannah Kjolhede, who is committed to Indiana University. If we play to our level and go forward with our game plan, I am confident we will win.”

Junior Caitlyn Brown believes maintaining momentum until the end of the match will set the team apart from their opponent.

“An overall goal for me and team is to keep our energy,” junior Caitlyn Brown said. “It can be difficult to get super hyped up when you’re tired, especially during the last couple of sets, but bringing energy to the court completely changes the course of the game.”
