In a close contest at Frisco on Tuesday, tennis battled the Raccoons, pulling out a 10-9 victory in a District 9-5A match to even their record at 1-1.

“I felt like we didn’t play our best but we still won,” senior Sarvesh Ram said. “So that at least improved our morale because getting the win is the most important thing.”

Coming off of this win, Ram is staying motivated for more district games to come.

“I think a good takeaway is to understand that we can’t be overconfident before any match,” Ram said. We thought we could beat Frisco easily, but it was closer than we expected, so we should never underestimate anyone.”
