Swimming and diving competed in the North Texas 5A TISCA meet this past weekend and came home with notable results. Overall, the boys’ team placed third out of 36 teams, beating out every other boys swim team in the district with the girls’ team placing 23 out of 26 teams. Among the individual competitors, 21 personal records, three school records, and one meet record were broken.

“To say I am proud of them would be a huge understatement,”  coach Shannon Mistr said via email. “Had some of these swims been done at state, they would have been placing top eight based upon state times from last year and we’ve still got two and a half months to go of the season.”

The swim team will compete in another meet on Jan. 9 at the Natatorium before they compete in District 11/5A on Jan. 21 and Jan. 23 and Region 3 on Feb. 4-6.
