Girls’ golf swung into their first tournament of the 2019-2020 season Friday and Saturday at the Heart of Texas Invitational at Squaw Valley golf course.

“We think we did good under the circumstances, we definitely could’ve done better,” senior Sona Shah said. “But it was definitely a long uphill battle against a lot of big schools.”

The Redhawks were only one of two 5A schools, competing against 6A teams across Texas. Southlake Carroll took home the championship bracket.

“We played three different rounds and we improved through each one,” junior Raeleigh Davidson said. “We didn’t have the whole team there either, so I’m proud of what we got done.”
