The girls’ and boys’ cross country teams are competing in the Lovejoy XC Fall Festival at Myers Park and Events Center Saturday morning.

“Being that we’ll be competing at Lovejoy Invitational, we expect a lot of competition and a lot of schools to be there,” senior Pierce Rupert said. “Some of us seniors have ran this course before and know that it’s pretty tough but we’ve been preparing.”

All Frisco ISD schools are to scheduled to race this weekend, giving the Redhawks a chance to see what awaits them in the District 9-5A meet on October 17, also at Myers Park.

“We hope to get a good gauge on where we align in the district standings,” Rupert said. “Hopefully we’re top three.”
