Boys’ and girls’ cross country athletes helped set the pace at the Race at the Lake meet at Lynn Creek Park on Thursday as the boys’ finished second and the girls’ placed third.

“This meet brought out our best times and a majority of our team got PRs,” senior Ben Alfred said. “The meet stood out more than others because everyone knew this was the last chance to get a really good time this season because this meet was flat unlike the next one we are going to run in districts.”

Five Frisco ISD teams competed in the meet as they prepare for the District 9-5A meet on Oct 17.

“We did really well this meet and we all pushed ourselves hard,” sophomore Jada Williams said. “Something I enjoyed about this meet was when we were all finished we swam in the lake for some team bonding.”
