The football team kicked off their season with a win against Royse City. Rather than playing four quarters, the team played 4 sets of 10 offensive and 10 defensive plays in addition to a live 20 minute quarter.

Honoring their seniors, football is playing at Toyota Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday for Senior Night. The Redhawks are anticipating some heavy competition as they take on the number one team in District 5-5A, the Lone Star Rangers.

“I’m expecting them to go hard to try and beat us but we will fight hard,” sophomore Blake Spencer said. “I just want to see myself and my teammates out on the field playing at one hundred percent.”

For his last game at Toyota, senior Ethan Qualls is pushing for one win before their last game next week.

“We are expecting to see a lot of talent from Lone Star and a lot of physicality,” Qualls said. “Something I want to see from us is to just stay together play together and play confident.”
