A twisted take on the childhood story, Hansel and Gretel has turned into a live action, horror film set to be released in early 2020.

Directed by Oz Perkins, Gretel and Hansel, tells the classic tale of a set of young siblings who are strolling through the woods, who happen to stumble across the home of a creepy witch. 

Gretal is played by Sophia Lillis, Hansel is played by Samuel Leakey, and the evil witch named Holda is played by Alice Krige

According to IMDb predictions for 2020 movies, Gretal and Hansel is predicted to make between $21 and $30 million dollars within domestic gross, and $50 to $64 million worldwide. 

With this small cast of only 9 people, and dark cinematic effects that give off an eerie feel, this movie is set to theaters on Jan. 31, and critics, horror fans, and regular movie goers are excited to see this dark twist on a familiar, childhood story.
