The Frisco hockey team comprised of players from the district’s high schools open the Texas High School Hockey State Tournament Wednesday against Keller at the Dr. Pepper Arena starting at 8 p.m.

The winner in the best of three series will advance to the state tournament finals in February with the state champion advancing to the national tournament.

“As we enter our best of 3 state play down games vs Keller I have high hopes for these young men,” hockey head coach Ryan McLean said via text. “We all take great pride our great city of Frisco and will give it 100% in hopes to get to Nationals.”
