District 5A play has finally begun for girls’ basketball as they take on the Lebanon Trailblazers Tuesday night at The Nest starting at 6:30 p.m.

“We’ve been watching over Lebanon’s film,” junior Kayla Pernis said. “We just want to play together and start our season off with a win.”

Taking on some of the top schools in the area during non-district competition, assistant coach Dawnielle Keil is confident in her team’s ability to show out on the court.

“We have been preparing ever since the first day of school,“ freshman Jezelle Moreno said. “We have constantly been in the weight room and conditioning and keeping our bodies right. Our goal for tonight’s game is to just kick off the season right, and have fun, and hopefully play the best to our ability.”
