Both girls’ and boys’ basketball hit the road on Friday for a District 9-5A matchup against the Reedy Lions.

The girls’ set off the night strong with a 46-26 win to improve their undefeated district record to 4-0.

“We had really good communication,” freshman Jezelle Moreno said. “We got off to a strong start and kept our momentum throughout the game.”

However, the night took a turn for the boys’ team after they fell to Reedy 75-60.

“We didn’t come out ready to play and let it get away from us early,” senior Eric Lynn said. “It’s early in district and we have sixteen games left so we’re just taking it one game at a time and trying to build off of the positives. Right now we’re just focused on Memorial next.”
