The boys’ and girls’ basketball teams look to add a digit to the win column Tuesday at 6 p.m. as they visit the Memorial Warriors in District 9-5A play.

Starting off district play 0-2, boys’ head coach Stephen Friar believes the team has the right mindset

“We have a mentality here where we look at the next game, next play, next possession,” Friar said. “We don’t really want to look in the rear view mirror but we want to make sure that we understand the mistakes we made. We’re doing a lot of great things, we just got to make sure we minimize our mistakes and put ourselves in the best position to win tonight.”

For the girls’ team, Tuesday night is the chance to improve to 5-0 in play.

“We’ve got to really play well tonight, Memorial is one of the most athletic teams in the district,” girls’ head coach Ross Reedy. “They’ve got really good personal that will disrupt what we’ll be trying to do offensively and defensively. For us, as long as we can execute and play within ourselves and play together, we feel as if we have as good of an opportunity as they do in every game that we’ll play.”
