Winter Extravaganza, the annual fine arts showcase, takes place in the auditorium at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday with a limited number of tickets available for $10.

“Both days are the same performance, but it is a great way for the fine arts to come together and perform as a group,” assistant orchestra director Victoria Lien said. “This is the second year we will be doing this at Liberty so we are still learning, but we are hoping to make this better.”

Performances scheduled for both nights include band, orchestra, dance three and four, color guard, theater, Red Rhythm, and art.

Students that participated last year, they hope to see improvements.

“Since this will be our second Winter Extravaganza, there will be a whole new set of things to offer,” senior, dance student Andreas Vanegas said. “We will be way more prepared because last year was the first time so we didn’t really know what we were doing, but this year, we’re more prepared and we’ve had more practice.”

Some of the freshmen are excited to perform, as this event differs from events and concerts they did in middle school.

“I’m excited to see what everyone prepares, especially since it’s going to be a combined show of everyone in the fine arts department,” orchestra student Samantha Natividad said . “We did a symphony with band in middle school, but not much else so it’s going to be a fun experience.”
