It’s back to the court for the Redhawk basketball teams as they continue District 9-5A play  Tuesday against the Wakeland Wolverines at The Nest, with the girls tipping off at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow at 7:15 p.m.

Entering the game undefeated in the district games (7-0), junior Maya Jain is feeling good about Tuesday’s game.

“As a team we’re going into this game pretty confident after playing on Friday,” Jain said. “I don’t think it’s going to be that difficult coming back since we’ve been practicing and have had a game already.”

Meanwhile, the boys’ team is looking for its first district win (0-5), but senior Micaiah Abii sees competition against the Wolverines as an opportunity for team improvement.

“I’m feeling good, we are in the process of changing some things but we all have the same goal in mind and that’s to win,” Abii said. “We’ve been upping the intensity for sure and paying a lot more attention to detail in light of our poor performance. We’re simply just looking to play better as a whole.”
