Basketball teams are on a hot streak after their road victories against the Lebanon Trail Blazers Tuesday night.

The girls’ team beat Lebanon Trail for the second time this season 45-35, moving the Redhawks to 10-0 in District 9-5A.

“It feels really good to continue being undefeated,” junior Maya Jain said. “Lebanon was a good team so it was a good win for us and as a team we’re looking to go undefeated.”

With their third district victory in a row the boys’ are working their way up the district standings after defeating the Trailblazers 58-44 and improving to 3-5.

Senior Micaiah Abii led the way, and joined the school’s 1000 point club, scoring 24 points for the team.

“I think most of all it speaks commitment,” Abii said. “Because there were a couple of opportunities that I declined to go to a couple prep schools but I chose to stay loyal to Liberty. I’m excited to have reached this feat and am just looking to keep collecting these wins for district.”
