After taking on Reedy for the second time in District 9-5A play, both Redhawk basketball teams came out with a win on Friday at The Nest.

“The Reedy game was awesome,” senior Zach Bishop said. “We came into the game much more prepared and focused, we limited our turnovers against a pretty tough zone, and the guys on the court played hard.”

Junior Myson Huff led the team in scoring, helping the boys’ win 51-46.

“We had Myson go off for 27 [points] which was huge for a rallying standpoint as a team,” Bishop said. “It was a much-needed win and we pulled it out.”

The girls’ team held onto their undefeated record in District 9-5A and secured their 13th straight victory, winning 40-27.

“I played a solid defensive game,” sophomore Ashley Anderson said. “As a whole, the team worked together and executed in order to get a win.”
