Weather is wreaking havoc on the softball team’s non-district schedule as Wednesday’s games were cancelled due to weather related issues.

“I think it is tough to get a rhythm going with the weather being bad because some days we aren’t able to go outside so we are practicing in the turf room which is always very crammed,” junior Rachel Wilson said. “It also throws off some of our game times because if the dirt is too wet, the field is unplayable.”

Although these games aren’t district contests, they still give the girls an opportunity to work together facing game pressure.

“Pre-district games are very important,” junior Sue Slater said. “They show us what we still need to improve on and what we can do to fix the things that will make us more successful during games.”
