The situation that the world is in right now is not only very dangerous but it feels a little strange. One of the strange components of these stay at home orders is that people are having some really weird and vivid dreams.

It’s clear that many people’s sleep schedules are a little off given that they are probably sleeping in because there isn’t much else to do during the day. But why are people having vivid dreams now? And why is staying at home causing it?

It kind of makes sense because we are all going through some type of withdrawal from our usual environment and daily schedules. It is inspiring our subconscious to come up with things about our past or other defining times in our lives that we might not think about that often.

Usually we don’t remember our dreams because we are in a deep sleep when we have them and don’t remember when we wake up, and simply because they just aren’t as bizarre as some of the dreams people are having now.

They are also staying in our memory after we wake up because the quality of sleep of some people has decreased. Some people just aren’t getting the good sleep they are used to getting, and it is affecting their memory of their dreams.

It’s really interesting how this whole situation that the world is in has affected our brains and our subconscious. As someone who is experiencing some pretty insane dreams and nightmares, it’s easy to say that it’s pretty strange but also kind of terrifying. It’s like each night is a new adventure.

We need to try to reduce our stress levels, quit looking at the news so often, exercise, distract our minds somehow, and work towards getting our sleep back.
