It’s finally here. The end of the 2020 school year. I think deep inside, we’ve all been waiting for this scholastic year to end.

Just so it seems like time is moving at all.

Just so we can feel as though the minutes and seconds are actually passing by.

And just so that we don’t have to wait for things to change.

To be honest, all I want to do is move on. I mean, there are so many things that I could place blame on this year. But for some reason, the only thing I want to do is be thankful and move forward. And I am. I’m thankful that I’m safe, thankful that I’m surrounded by my family. All in all, I’m just thankful. Sure, this year wasn’t what it was supposed to be for pretty much all of us. But, when have things ever turned out perfectly? Unpredictability is just a part of life.

Now, I know that none of us know what next year is going to look like definitively. But, I’m hoping that at least it plays out as a second chance for me. Looking back, all I want is a do-over for the things that I didn’t even get to do this year.

We all need something good right now. And here’s hoping that that good is a fresh start.

Fingers crossed.

Either way, this school year is over and I’m simply grateful. And, I have a feeling that things are going to change for the better.

So with that being said… here’s to next year!
