The tennis team returned to the courts on Tuesday for their first district 9-5A match of the season against Centennial. The Redhawks jumped out to an early 4-3 lead, but fell 13-6 in the end.

“The team competed and really played well,” tennis coach Brandon Justiss said. “We had 6 players playing in their first varsity match. We are young and we have a team that wants to get better and players that want to compete.”

The team is already looking ahead to their matches against Heritage and Lebanon Trail.

“We are trying to figure out doubles teams for the upcoming matches,” Justiss said. “We play the #7 team and the #2 team in the state for our next two matches.”
