Wingspan: When did you start golf?

Cobb: “I started golf in the sixth grade, but really got into it my junior year when I joined the team at Liberty.”

Wingspan: Who encouraged you to start golf?

Cobb: “My dad encouraged me to play golf.”

Wingspan: What is the hardest part about golf?

Cobb: “The hardest part about golf is finding a quiet space in your mind when you play so that you can focus.”

Wingspan: What’s your favorite part about your sport?

Cobb: “My favorite part about the sport is being able to play with my teammates, they always encourage me.

Wingspan: Who is your biggest role model?

Cobb: “My biggest role model is my dad. He’s the one that got me into the sport and encourages me to do my best every time I go out and play. He’s always there for me.”

Wingspan: What is one thing people think about golf that isn’t actually true?

Cobb: “People assume that it is really simple to hit the golf ball. However there’s a lot more that goes into it. You have to be able to hit it the right distance, know which club you’re trying to hit and be able to hit it straight.”

Wingspan: Do you have any superstitions?

Cobb: “I don’t have any superstitions.”

Wingspan: Do you have a pre tournament routine?

Cobb: “I always look over the course I’m playing at and usually play the course at least once before I go out and play the tournament. Then I just meditate the night before so that my mind is clear going into the game.”
