The boys’ golf team played at the Pioneer Individual tournament at Fossil Creek Course Friday and Saturday morning. The boy’s team placed 9th out of 16 teams.

Sophomore Thaxton Nelson was not happy with his performance.

“In the tournament I definitely could have played better and the course was definitely scorable on the par 5’s,” Nelson said.

The next tournament is the Frisco Cup, one of the biggest showcases for Frisco ISD, and the  players are already planning on what they need to do to improve.

“For the next tournament I am hoping to work more on my woods primarily off the tee box and chipping around the greens,” Nelson said. “The team could probably work on our short game.”
