It was Senior Night at the final basketball game of the girls’ regular season Tuesday at the Nest. Having already clinched the District 9-5A championship, the team walked away with a win over Frisco High 57-38. The team started out the first quarter strong, jumping to a 21-7 lead and cruising from there. The girls will begin the playoffs with a Bi-District match up with Wylie East on Monday.

Following the girls, the boys looked to avenge their only district loss as they also took on Frisco High on Senior Night. The team forced Frisco into a scoreless first quarter and led 15-0. Frisco would eventually put up 15 points in the second quarter and trailed at half 26-15. But it was a much tighter contest in the second half as Frisco tied things up at 38 with five minutes left. However, the team was able to put away the Raccoons for the 51-46 win.

Senior Carter Brown led the offense with 14, followed by sophomore Reggie Chaney who finished with 11 points.

The boys’ take on Independence at Independence Friday at 7:30 p.m.
