Seniors can embrace their Texan spirit on Thursday, as the PTSA is holding the Boots & BBQ Bash senior event from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Heritage Farmstead Museum. There will be games and opportunities to win prizes including a Keurig coffee maker, gift cards, Yeti and HydroFlasks, and a cowboy hat to seal the night.

“There will be tickets handed out at the door for the prizes as well as there will be a dance contest and possibly a karaoke competition to see who knows the most words of a song,” PTSA 2021 Senior Committee Co-Chair Wendy Lawton said.

Aside from the games and prizes, the night will be filled with music, dancing, and a local food truck.

“We have a BBQ food truck coming and the fire pit will be going as well. There will be water and hot chocolate served. We also have a former Texas A&M Wrangler (dance team) coming to show some line dances and group dances.”
