The Redhawks baseball team is looking to continue their winning streak, and stay in first place in District 9-5A as they travel to take on the fifth place Memorial Warriors Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

“The main thing we are focusing on is continuing to stay on us,” senior Ben Anderson said. “And do what we know how to do. We know that if we go out and play how we are capable there isn’t a team in the district that can beat us.”

With this week not being their typical Tuesday/Friday game schedule, the team had to adapt to fewer practices.

“With the game on Thursday it just makes for a quicker turnaround as we had one less day to practice,” Anderson. “So with the day we did have we just had to maximize our time and get in as much work as we could.”

With a four day weekend beginning Friday, the team has at least one extra day off before they return to the diamond.

“The team will get tomorrow off,” Anderson said. “But we are more than likely to be back practicing Monday.”
