I am always on a constant search for new music and this week I found five new songs that I really enjoyed! These artists are lesser-known in the musical world and so I wanted to give them some recognition.

The first song I found was “Nena” by YEИDRY. She is a Dominican artist who grew up between the Dominican Republic and Italy. This song is very beautiful and pleasing to listen to. I think that the production is great and her voice is incredible. At first, it almost sounds like she adds this element of Flamenco into the song. I thought this song was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone.

Second on the list was “Uña Con Diamante” by Adriana Torron. The title translates to ‘nail with a diamond.’ I thought this song was very empowering as it talks about leaving your shame at home and going out to enjoy yourself. It puts an emphasis on the need to love and enjoy yourself for who you are and I thought that was beautiful. Adriana has a very beautiful song and I thought the flow was great.

Third on the list is “MOVE!” by riela. I absolutely love this song. It’s way more upbeat than the others on this list. The lyrics are in Spanish and English. Riela goes on to tell her listeners to enjoy themselves and to dance to the rhythm of the streets. This song really reminds me of my home in Colombia and makes me want to dance. I think Riela has an awesome voice and some really good music. I can’t wait to hear what she comes up with next.

The fourth song on the list is “Sola” by Nina Cobham and remixed by Bipolar Sunshine. This song is a slower song more r&b. It’s mostly in English but there is a bit of Spanish mixed in there. I thought this song was very deep and also very relaxing. In it, Nina talks about being scared of being alone and goes on to explain that she feels like she needs to get her act together. Bipolar Sunshine’s verse on this remix is also very beautiful because he is comforting her by saying that it’s ok to feel that way and that good things take time. This one is probably my favorite off of this list.

Last but not least is “Call Me Queen” by Citizen Queen. This song is seriously great. I love it so much. Everything about it is perfect, from the flow to the lyrics to the beats. It also screams self-empowerment.  Citizen Queen is a band of five incredibly talented women: Kaedi Dalley,  Hannah Mrozak,  Cora Isabel,  Nina Nelson, and  Kaylah Sharve’. I think that these girls created a masterpiece and I have high hopes for them.

These were the five songs that I wanted to share with you guys, but of course, there is way more where that came from if you go through each singer’s profiles. I was very impressed with their talents and I hope to hear more music from all of these artists soon!
