Have you ever had to decide between a family member and friends? I have, and it’s definitely not the easiest thing to do.

One of the more prime examples that I have experienced quite a few times is choosing between a night out with my family or going out with my friends. I never know what to do.

In my opinion there’s no right or wrong choice in this situation. It depends on the scenario you’re in.

In my case, when having to pick who to spend time with, most times my parents guilt trip me into spending time with them. They always seem to remind me that I have limited time with them and loads of time to be with my friends.

To a certain extent, I don’t mind it. I love my family, and there’s never a dull moment with them. I know when I go to college I’m going to have time to make friends and spend time with them. So it makes sense that I take advantage of the time I have with my family now and appreciate the little distance between us before college.

Right now, I’m focused on my education and appreciating the time I do have with my family. However, not everyone is in this position. When having to choose, make sure you make your decision based on what scenario you’re in and what you think will benefit you the most.

Have a great weekend Redhawks!
