With the new year underway, Meet the Teacher night is taking place Monday at 6-7 p.m. During this time, parents are able to go onto campus and get to meet their child’s teachers and learn about their classes.

“I do think meet the teacher night is beneficial,” teacher Amber Bennett said. “This way parents can have peace of mind on who is watching their children during the day.”

The format of this event recently changed due to virtual options that cut the night down to one hour instead of two.

“Well, when it was going to be two hours and they were going to be on a schedule, then I had a five min presentation for each class period,” teacher Kacie Smith said. “But now, they can just stop by and say hello.”

However, this night is still going to be very helpful to parents with teachers sharing a lot of information about the classes their children are taking.

“Tonight, I am going to show them the standards-based grading procedures, my tutorials schedule, and my syllabus for my class,” Bennett said.
