PTSA hosting clothes drive for those in need

Now might be a good time to clean out your closet or drawers as the Parent Teacher Student Association is hosting a clothing drive. Many donations drives may not impact people within the district, but the PTSA’s clothing drive is designed to help families in Frisco and the newly launched Frisco student clothes closet called Frisco Threads.

“The PTSA chose to participate just because it is a donation and it’s helping people. I feel like in Frisco we have a lot to give most people don’t really know that there are people that need to receive so it’s helping out those people that need a little extra help especially with the winter season coming up,” PTSA student representative Cooper Ragle said. “So just being there to support and help and giving them good clothes to keep them warm throughout all seasons.”

Among the biggest needs are new athletic shoes or sneakers, winter coats, winter hats/gloves, new pajamas, socks, underwear, and bras.

Frisco Threads is also accepting cash donations, or things bought from the Amazon and Walmart wish lists. New and gently used clothes can be brought to the school and placed in the donation laundry baskets located in the rotunda.
