So, last night my friend called me and they were talking about how on the news, some family died in a plane crash on the way to a family holiday vacation.

It made me start to think. What if I had to spend the holidays without my family?

Yes, I practically fight with my brother every day and my mom and I don’t exactly see eye to eye on most things. However, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t want them around me during the holidays. The holidays are meant to be spent with family and close friends. It’s a time to forgive, forget, and just enjoy time together.

It’s times like these we must remember that we’re not going to be able to have our families forever, so while we do, we need to take advantage of it.

No one is going to remember what dress you wore, or what gift you got them. They’re only going to remember how you made them feel. So please, if your family is still with you, enjoy the holidays with them, and have a fun and safe break.
