Cash for first, consequences for last

Winning a fantasy football league can be good for your wallet and your pride, but as one student learned, coming in last place can have some spicy consequences.

Whether it is having to shave your head, or having to eat the spiciest wings at Buffalo Wild Wings, last place fantasy football punishments is a tradition like no other.

“Definitely becomes more competitive, definitely is something you think about more at night,” senior Evan Moros said. “You’re thinking about every game every week, as long as I don’t get last, that it was unfortunate that I got last.”

Senior Evan Moros was one of the last place punishment victims, having to finish 10 of the hottest wings at Buffalo Wild Wings.

“Too far-fetched?,” Moros said. “No, because we have seen a couple TikTok of the same exact punishment. It looks painful, but I don’t think it’s the worst.”

Meanwhile junior Jenson Cockrell, had to shave his head due to getting last place.

“I don’t think my punishment was too far,” Cockrell said. ‘There were a lot worse punishments I could have chosen.”

Winning your fantasy football league might be exciting, but in the end, everyone in the league, usually cares more about not getting last.
