Finding enough bus drivers has been a struggle for school districts across the nation and Frisco ISD is no different.

The total number of bus drivers in the U.S. have decreased by 13% compared to pre-pandemic numbers according to the Automatic Data Processing.

To help address this shortage, the Frisco ISD Transportation department is hosting a job fair Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Both bus drivers and monitors are in need and prospective employees should apply for a position through the district’s website before stopping by the job fair.

Interviews will be conducted on site with paid training available.

Among the benefits with these offered jobs are weekends, evenings, and school holidays off, along with paid personal and sick leave as well as health benefits.

Tomorrow’s transportation department job fair is being held at the district’s west transportation facility behind Wakeland high school.
