After a year of virtual competitions, the Business Professionals of America (BPA) club on campus will be heading to Fort Worth to compete in the state competition from this Thursday to Saturday.

With weeks of preparation prior to the competition,  junior and club officer William Zhang expects rewarding outcomes.

“So to prepare for the competition I went through past competition materials,” Zhang said. “For me, I’m doing a written exam, so in my case, I just look at the past written exams and do it again as if I was actually competing in a past competition. So personally, I have pretty high expectations for myself because I’ve also been studying a lot.”

For some students, this will be their first time competing at the state level.

“I’m going in with an open mind, especially because this is my first year competing,” junior Sherry Hu said. “I’m not sure what to expect, so I just studied for my event and I hope that it pays off.
