Wingspan: You guys are undefeated this season, how do you think you’ve been able to maintain this?

Guerrero: “The team has stayed focused all season and we know what we are capable of and if we keep our hard work going then it will pay off.”

Wingspan: What has been the highlight of the season for the team?

Guerrero: “Our first district game we beat Memorial 7-1 and preparing for the game we knew we could win and we knew that this game will show every other team what we’re about.”

Wingspan: Before the season began how were you all preparing?

Guerrero: “Each day we took it as an opportunity to train and get better. everything that people see on the field we’ve prepared for in every practice.”

Wingspan: What’s one piece of advice you would give to underclassmen in soccer? 

Guerrero: “Just keep working hard in practice and be confident in your abilities. I wasn’t the best player on the team and I wasn’t always confident but working hard and showing you are 100% committed to the team will show how much the team actually needs you.”

Wingspan: What’s been your favorite memory this season?

Guerrero: “Every game before we get on the field we do this thing where we get in a huddle and “get hype” and we just start screaming, getting us excited and ready for the game.”

Wingspan: Who is your biggest inspiration when it comes to soccer?

Guerrero: “My mom. She’s always believed in me and she loves watching me have fun and play. I love making her smile and happy and if playing does that to her then I’ll keep doing it.”
