Bad Bunny kicked off his tour in February for his latest album EL ULTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO. The name of the album is pretty funny given that the translation is “the last world tour.” So far, the tour has generated some serious hype and streams for Bad Bunny. He was the highest streamed artist in the month of February with 1.04 billion streams. Given this, it was only fitting that I review this album.

EL ULTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO is definitely one of his best albums with some fantastic tracks that have a lot of replay value. It is really difficult to choose favorites from this album but my top three would have to be “BOOKER T,” “DAKITI” featuring Jhayco, and “MALDITA POBREZA.” “120” and “LA NOCHE DE ANOCHE” featuring Rosalia, are honorable mentions.

“BOOKER T” is a really funny song because he talks about being the best in the industry, but he does so by using funny metaphors and a Puerto Rican kids circle dance song called Cheki Morena. It is similar to Ring Around the Rosie or Wheels on the Bus. He uses a line from that song and adds his own lyrics to it by saying that people envy his success because he can win awards for his music and not even have to go to the awards show.

“DAKITI” and “MALDITA POBREZA” are songs to just vibe to. They are the perfect example of music you can sit and vibe to while forgetting all of your responsibilities. After all, music was meant to be an escape from reality, and that is what these songs do perfectly.

The reason why this album is revolutionary for Bad Bunny is because it shows that he can change genres really well. A few songs like “Maldita Pobreza” introduce Rock and Roll to his music. He is able to incorporate reggaeton and trap into rock. Bad Bunny also uses softer tones in this album to sing ballads like “HACIENDO QUE ME AMAS.”

EL ULTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO will continue to be successful because of how different it is from all of his other albums and because of how special it is to the fans.
