District 9-5A play starts off spring break when the Redhawk soccer teams take the field and hunt the Wakeland Wolverines in District 9-5A games on Friday.

Heading to Wakeland High School, the girls’ team kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

“We are working towards making it to playoffs and just keeping consistent in each game we play,” junior Lily Adams said. “We are hoping to get a win tonight, after having a good game against Frisco on Tuesday.”

The boys’ team is taking on a third ranked Wakeland in District 9-5A, when they host the Wolverines at The Nest at 7:30 p.m.

“Ever since freshman year, I think from then on to now it has been one hundred percent,” senior Chris Marroquin said. “It is the best chemistry in the league.”
