Playoffs are in sight for both Redhawk soccer teams as they play their last District 9-5A game of the season against the Lone Star Rangers on Friday.

With hopes to advance to playoffs, the girls take on the Rangers at 5:30 p.m. at Kuykendall Stadium

“I am expecting both teams to come out strong and physical as we are competing to go to the playoffs,” junior Mckenna Clerkin said. “I think that if we come out playing our best we can beat Lone Star and make it to the playoffs.”

While the boys have already secured their spot in playoffs, they host the Rangers at the Nest at 7:30 p.m. aiming to finish the season with a win.

“I’m expecting a really good game, as Lone Star has been doing really well,” head coach Evan McGee said. “Collectively in the season, we’ve been doing fantastic as well. Dropped the last two games, so it’d be good for us to go in and have a hard fought game, and come away with some positive momentum going into the playoffs.”
