Budget and recognitions on Monday’s board agenda

Frisco ISD has opened applications for the district committees. The applications consist of roles for the District Advisory Council, Legislative Leadership Council, Library Reconsideration Committee, Safety and Security Committee, School Health Advisory Committee, Special Education Parent Committee, and Student Advisory Committee.

The monthly board meeting is Monday evening and will cover many topics, including a look at district finances from tax reports to this school year’s budget amendments and transfers.

The board will also be recognizing athletes in the district who qualified for swimming, diving, wrestling, and girls basketball state competitions along with students who qualified for the band, orchestra, choir all-state ensembles.

Also, a week ago, the Texas Education Agency released all Texas Academic Progress Reports and the district is reviewing the details in the report at the meeting.

The Board of Trustee’s are also reviewing many renovations across the district including the Liberty’s track replacement.

The public portion at Monday’s meeting starts at 6:30 pm at the Frisco ISD administration building and the full agenda can be on the district’s website.
