Trisha Dasgupta is entering her third year of Wingspan as a junior. In addition to journalism, she is an avid member of Model United Nations and helped found the school’s own branch. In her four years of MUN, she has competed as a delegate, served as a chair, and will now serve on the State Secretariat as the Secretary of Parliamentary Procedure, helping plan conferences and curriculum. In addition to Texas MUN, she spent her summer planning an international Model UN conference with students in 26 different countries. Her involvement in MUN and Wingspan has facilitated her passions for history, politics, and local activism. In her free time, you can find her painting, knitting, or being obnoxious about her love for Taylor Swift. She hopes to one day work as a human rights lawyer for the United Nations.

Playing since elementary school, junior Aleeza Hussain enjoys the different sounds and acoustics of the harp. “My favorite part about playing the harp is probably figuring out the different sounds you can make because harps can evoke a variety of emotions. All of the harmonies always come together so beautifully which is really nice.”
