Principal Ashley Rainwater announced in an email letter to parents Monday evening that she will not be returning to campus next year and will instead be working as the Managing Director of Secondary Schools within Frisco ISD. Rainwater sent the following email letter to parents and students Monday night:

“It is with mixed emotions that I am sharing with you that I will not be the principal of Liberty High School next year. I have accepted a position as Managing Director of Secondary Schools within Frisco ISD beginning next school year. While I am excited about this new chapter in my professional career, the decision was difficult because of the strong relationships that I have formed with all of you.

In the coming days, Frisco ISD will begin the process of identifying the next leader for Liberty High School. A crucial part of the search is to seek input from parents and staff to ensure a great match. More information will be forthcoming regarding how that feedback will be gathered and considered.

Thank you for all that you have done to support me and Liberty High School over the past eleven years. I look forward to finishing out the school year with my Liberty family and I am confident that the campus will continue to achieve amazing things like it always has. The next principal is truly fortunate to serve such a wonderful community.”

This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
