Looking to catch a win, softball gears up for a District 9-5A game Tuesday against the Lone Star Rangers. Following multiple losses, the team is seeking improvement for a boosted season record (1-7).

The Redhawk softball team hosts the Lone Star Rangers Tuesday in a District 9-5A contest, hoping to come back after a loss to Reedy on Friday.

“I think we’re gonna be doing good against Lone Star,” head coach Jill Bradshaw said. “They have three pitchers that pitch something that we can handle. We need to limit our errors, and just come out there and have fun and attack it.”

Even though the team lost Friday, senior Naudia Stele says the team has been working hard and staying positive which will help them in Tuesday’s game.

“Very positive thoughts,” she said. “I think we’ll come out strong because we have been practicing so hard this week and year and putting in a lot of effort. We have been up working really early and after school practices. I have seen improvements in our hits.”
