The Redhawk boys’ soccer team heads into playoffs Friday, when they face the McKinney North Bulldogs at McKinney Boyd High School starting at 7:30 p.m.

“Going into playoffs, we’re focusing on defending set pieces, which is how we have conceded a lot of our goals this year,” assistant coach Kyle Parks said. “We think if we can improve in that area then we will be set up for success.”

According to senior Andrew Siv, the boys’ chemistry this year could take them far in the playoffs.

“Going back to back you know last year we were not really able to make a change in the playoffs, so this year we’ve been progressing a lot,” Siv said. “Our records are better and we feel like we have a better team overall. The chemistry is better so hopefully we can make a push in the playoffs and hopefully win state.”
