Sports continued their seasons over the weekend as soccer wrapped up its regular season, and baseball and softball battled through their district schedules.

The girls’ soccer team finished their regular season with a 6-1 win over Lone Star. The goals were distributed all-around, as Jessi Long, Kaci Parks, Emma Mason, Cat Lychywek, Alyssa Killinger, and Madi Timmons all scored one goal to help secure the win. Finishing with 34 points and a thirrd place finish, the team will take on Prosper Thursday at home in the bi-district round of playoffs.

The boys’ soccer team also closed their regular season with a 4-2 win over the Rangers. Led by senior captain David Kwon, who scored two goals, the team finished with 28 points on the season, one off their total point total last season. They will play McKinney North for the 2nd straight year on Friday at McKinney Boyd.

Softball took on Heritage, and lost 6-1 over the weekend. The 8th placed team will take on Frisco Tuesday at Frisco in hopes of ending their three game streak.

Baseball challenged Little Elm on Friday but lost 3-2 in an upset. On Saturday, Noah Thompson had a no-hitter going into the 7th inning against The Colony, but that was eventually broken up by the Cougars. Thompson finished with a one hitter as the team won 5-0.
