There are new and upcoming restaurants opening everyday, but there is one market that stands out. Bubble tea, a Taiwanese drink made from a tea base, milk, and topped with various toppings has become a massive trend. By 2027, the market is expected to be worth 4.3 billion dollars. It’s no surprise that Bubble tea places aren’t hard to find these days, but Chill’d stands out for being more than a place to get a drink.

Chill’d is most popular for its teas, offering a variety of flavors such as the Mango Green tea with mango popping boba. When drinking this, I never had to search for the mango flavor; it was strong enough without being too sweet or overpowering. This drink was recommended by the staff and for good reason. It’s probably the best one reviewed.

Chill’d’s drinks aren’t exclusive to tea. They serve coffee, slushies, and smoothies. The Coffee Horchata drink, was also very highly rated. Similarly to the Mango Green Tea drink, the coffee flavor was very rich. They offered a variety of add-ons such as tapioca pearls, Classic foam, and the House Special Cheese Foam. Out of the two options of foam, the classic foam complements the coffee flavor very well. Instead of overpowering the coffee flavor, the foam worked together with the flavors of the drink to enhance the taste.

Although Chill’d specializes in bubble tea, they also serve entrees and snacks such as the Crispy Fried Shrimp Combo. The shrimp was tender and fried perfectly. The dish also comes with a sauce of your choice. The honey BBQ, recommended by the staff, was tangy and sweet which went nicely with the crispness of the shrimp. 

Chill’d lived up to its high reviews as everything tried was excellent and exceeded expectations. Besides the quality of the food, the staff were friendly and open to answering all of my questions making Chill’d a hot spot worth checking out.
